How do I get a good scan?

Tap scan, then walk slowly around the balls with the camera pointed at them, a step or two back. A dashed ring appears on each ball once it's seen, and turns solid when it's measured well. Keep going until every ring is solid, keep the pace bar out of the red, then tap stop. The phone doesn't need to be level.

It says "too close to call". What now?

Those balls are closer together than the scan can reliably separate, so the app won't guess. Measure them by hand, or scan just those balls again from close up.

A scan missed a ball, or found one that isn't there.

On the results, tap "Missing one?" to scan some more or place the ball on the map by hand. To remove something that isn't a ball, tap it and tap the trash can.

The distances look off.

Check that the ball size in Settings matches your set (regulation bocce balls are 107 mm). The app will also tell you after a scan if your balls measure differently. If a result still looks wrong, tap "Something wrong? Send this scan" under the results and email it to us. It includes the scan's measurements and a few camera frames, and nothing is sent unless you choose to.

How do I restore my purchase?

Open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchase under Purchase. It's a one-time purchase tied to your Apple Account, and it's shared with your family through Family Sharing.

Which iPhones does it work on?

Any iPhone running iOS 17 or later. iPhone Pro models measure the court with their LiDAR sensor. On other models the app uses your ball size as its ruler, so set it accurately in Settings.
